Colin, someone did a review a while back on the LFD Off-Road Rack. I believe this is why Ill go with the Gobi. The stock struts easily hold the ladder by itself, but I recently added a shovel and now sometimes they hold the ladder and other times not. CNC cut and formed from 14 ga (.078") steel. No tent.
